Eastside Audubon is once again planning to wrap gifts for the holidays at the Issaquah REI, a tradition that has been continuing for over thirty years, at 3 different stores. Last year the gross proceeds were $4900 in contributions to EAS. A big shift in the wrapping project is the growing emphasis on simple, handmaid gift bags which sell for reasonable prices, but also attract larger donations. Those waiting for their wrap learn more about Eastside Audubon and local birds, and always want to share their bird stories. The volunteer team could use more sewing aides right away, and we are also looking for folks to staff three hour shifts, from December 17 through December 24.
