President’s Letter: Have Ideas for Speakers You’d Like to Hear?

By Lori Danielson

The volunteer who has arranged for our excellent monthly speakers over the past few years, Laura Weisel, has stepped down from the role of program night coordinator after moving to Portland, OR. I want to thank her for the many interesting and high quality speakers she dependably recruited for our chapter. She did a great job of finding people doing fascinating work with birds who were willing to speak at our membership meetings. The presentations each month were beautiful, engaging and highly educational. I very much appreciate the work you did for us, Laura, and best wishes in your new endeavors.

Do you have ideas for speakers and/or topics on birds and conservation that would be of interest to our membership? We don’t currently have anyone to step into the role of finding and coordinating with program night presenters. If you have suggestions for topics, speakers, or might want to try the coordinating role yourself, please contact me at lddanielson@gmail.com or fill out the interest form at https://www.eastsideaudubon.org/volunteer
